3 Months old

Cassidy is now three months old! Well, she will be in about a week. She is getting so big, so fast. She has found her voice a little bit and is interacting with us a lot now. Cassidy is also outgrown her newborn and 0 to 3 month clothes! She is now wearing 3 to 6 months and has been for a few weeks. Her check ups have all gone well and she luckily hasn't gotten sick yet other than a stuffy nose. She really hates it when we use the snot plunger on her. She is doing and growing wonderfully. In a few weeks, she will be spending a week with her Nana and Papa Johnson while we visit Belize for a little R&R....

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas!

It was Cassidy's first Christmas this year. She looked really cute in her little Santa outfit that Nana got her. We went to Placerville for a week and visited the Johnson family, then to Sacramento to visit Grandma Johnson and the Cook family. And our last stop was up to the Wilson's in Sutter Creek.

3 weeks old

Cassie is 3 weeks old today. Here she is. She had a rough evening yesterday before we went to sleep but did very well during the night.

1 week old

Cassie is one week old today. She had her check up this morning and everything looks great. The jaundice is improving and she gained 6 oz. since last Wednesday morning. She is eating very well, about 2 1/2 oz. every 3 hours. She gets the hiccups a lot and is now starting to stay awake more. During the day she still sleeps a lot but in the evenings she tends to stay awake for awhile and look around. Last night she was watching Ice Road Truckers with her dad. Too funny...

Baby Cassie is here!

Cassidy Grace Johnson was born on Monday, October 3rd at 4:13 PM at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. She is so cute. We are very happy she is finally here with us after waiting so long. She couldn't be more perfect. 

3 days left

Only three days left....

Cassidy is due on October 6th, but we have decided to induce her on October 3rd, Monday which is three days early. Maybe she will decide to come this weekend? Probably not since I currently don't have any signs of labor. Everything is ready for her arrival. The car seat is in the car, our bags for the hospital are packed, laundry has been done, stroller has been assembled. The only thing left to do is get her bassinet ready. We are in count down mode and very excited to meet our daughter. I haven't been induced before, so hopefully all goes well.

2 more weeks

We only have two more weeks to go. It's been so hot the past few days so I am hoping that she decides to come early. Today was over 90 degrees and most of the summer has been very mild. I guess we were due for a heat wave before the end of summer. Went to the doctor today and no change from last week. My cervix is not softening and I haven't started to dilate yet either. Hopefully next week we will start to see some action.

4 more weeks

Only four weeks until Cassidy joins our family. I can't believe that all of these months have gone by so quickly. It seems like we just found out about the pregnancy and now we only have a few weeks to go. Everything is pretty much in order except for needing a few more items like a bath tub and monitor. I start my maternity leave today and will not be back to work until sometime in February of 2012. I have two other children, Kaden who will be six in a few weeks and Mei 4. They are both excited to have a new sibling and I am looking forward to watching them adjust. Cassidy Grace Johnson will be entering the world some time between now and October 6th hopefully sooner rather than later. I am really looking forward to meeting my babby girl and holding her. I can't wait to see what she looks like. Especially her hair color. We are at week 36 and counting down.
